My First Blog

Today I started my first blog. It's not my first blog. If you look at peanutwoman.diaryland.com, you will find random posts from many years ago, that don't really fit into what I'm doing now. Therefore, ignore it.

I've always kept a handwritten journal, and still do. I just wanted to see what it was like to try typing one. So far, so good! This is so much faster than writing, but there's still something very special about a new book and pen that makes journaling so wonderful.

Tim gets home in exactly ten days. I honestly can say that as I look at the past year of our lives apart from each other, the time has gone by very fast, in relative terms. Have I enjoyed our time apart? Absolutely not. However, I do feel like our marriage did not suffer because of our being apart.

One thing I did do that I need to stop once he's home for good is that I totally engrossed myself in my work. I also have committed myself to many other activities that take up a lot of time during the week. I know that some of those must go. I am in two knitting groups that I'm not willing to give up. Those ladies are so sweet, and have become good friends.

I must get some lesson plans done tonight if I plan on teaching anything worthwhile tomorrow...and I've decided that tea with milk and honey is the perfect bedtime snack!

Right now I am reading Lost and Found by Jacqueline Sheehan. It's about a woman who's just lost her husband, and finds love through a rescued Labrador Retriever. It's a delightful, bittersweet story. Highly recommended!

Much Love.
