Update!

Long time no see, journal!
Tim is home now, and has been for almost a month. It's been complete bliss having him home. We're having to adjust to living together again, but it's been fun, I have to admit.
We went to Durango, Colorado the weekend after he got back, and had a wonderful time together. We stayed at the Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast. We arrived the evening of the 12th of October, just in time for dinner. Saturday we drove to Silverton and Ouray to see the beautiful changing colors on the leaves and do a little shopping. When we got back it was almost dinnertime, so we met Amber at Olde Tymer's for barbecue.
Sunday we slept in and headed back home around lunchtime. It was a relaxing weekend, and I wish we had more time to get away.
Now, I am seriously considering looking for a new job. I can see that mst of the kids really don't care about learning, so why am I here? I deserve to teach at a school where my professionalism is appreciated and I don't have to finght my students to even bring a pencil to school. I am also tired of the lack of discipline and support we're getting from Eva. These kids are slowly but surely taking over the school, and right now they're laughing at us, daring us to make our move. Eva's tactic is to change their schedules or walk them to class. We've had kids who have been known to have drugs and/or paraphernalia on them, and nothing is done to stop it. There are fistfights in the hallways and the kids are sent to class immediately afterwards. Last week while I was out, one of my kids cussed out the substitute, who is a teacher at the school, and she sent him to the office with a referral. He came back to class not two minutes later with a hallpass.
I can honestly say I'm fed up, and would rather work at Flying Star or in a cubicle where no one talks to me.
Take care,
Mrs. Reynolds
