I almost had a meltdown during 7th hour. I realized how much I was actually doing, and I wasn't handling it well at all. But I breathed it out and went on with the class, and it actually turned out nicely.
Tomorrow is vocab jeopardy day, and Friday is the quiz, so this week ought to be fairly easy from here on out as far as actual teaching goes. That's good, because it will allow me to get lesson plans ready for next week while I'm gone for four days at training.
Tim gets home in exactly one week, and I can't wait. It will be so good to have him home again. We've got a trip to Durango planned for next weekend. I'm very excited to get out of town with him for a few days, even though it will be a short trip. I'm going to try not to think about work at all, but I know it will be hard. I've become accustomed to being in constant work mode for the past year, so it will be a hard habit to break.
My "to do" list for today, on which I didn't completely finish one thing!
- Finish grading papers
- Enter grades into computer
- Scholastic Red homework
- National Board paperwork
- Call union about check invoice
- Call bank about check to NMCTE
- Lesson plans for next week
- Update class lists and textbook storage
- PDP
- Memos to staff about meetings next week
I think I'm going to try taking one of the Scholastic Red tests before bed to see how I do.
